Wording

Upon further research, I discovered that if you search " Marrying a Murderer," you will get different results than if you search, "love behind bars."  Additionally, Cell Mate/Soul Mate is a book and another option for wording for a search.

When I searched for "love behind bars" the first thing on the screen was a dating website! The site is called " Love Behind Bars: Don't let Prison Keep You from Dating.  Seriously!? I mean I have heard of "Farmers Only" but a dating website for criminals? The site allows you to select the gender you identify with as well as if you are an inmate, and then who you are interested in, with an inmate option.  Anyone can just register for this site and potentially find their "soul mate", who just so happens to be an inmate as well.

Finding this raised a lot of questions for me. First, what kinds of people actually go looking for a criminal as a partner? Its one thing to fall for them before or during if you happen to meet them, but its completely different if you go out searching with intentions of finding someone who is behind bars. The next question that came to mind was that inmates don't have computers, so how do they use the site? Maybe they get some privileges and could use the library computer or something, but that isn't on a daily basis. And how do they get a picture for their profile? Ask one of the guards to take one for them?   This got me thinking about the privileges and high or low security of prisons. Maybe this will be where my search goes next.

Also, I found out that there is a TV movie called "Love Behind Bars."  I plan to view this and write a review/ response- coming soon!
